Is fornication okay?

Well for one thing we are Gods temple. IF you know how Jesus felt about the money changers then you have a good idea how God feels about us misuing our bodies. Now sexual activity is fun but lets face it practically first. Old diseases are becoming antibiotic resistant, there are lots of viral diseases out there as well that are not curable only controlable. The other thing is that by jumping from one person to another you are hurting the ones you leave behind. WE are to love others as we love ourselves. It is not fun to be the one who gets hurt by someone who plays. Sex in marriage is also a preview of what it may be like between Christ and the Church. I am not saying that we are going to have sex up there but in some fashion we will be connected to Him. Sex can also become a addiction. Additons are actually worshipping something other then God and lets face it most things we go over board on are not really good for us.

1 Corinthians 6

Flee Sexual Immorality

12 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything. 13 “Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!16 Or do you not know that he who is joined[d] to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. 18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin[e] a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;

Those are just two of them there are many more. So the message is clear wait until marriage. Paul said he would rather they be like him and be celibate then get marriage. Paul also said that if you can not control your passions then get married. So if you mess up ask God for forgiveness. However God does promise to provide us with a way out if you resist tempatation. I know that not all can get married legally so wait until you are in a commited relationship at least.
